100% Cotton Percale. 
Hand block-printed and individually sewn. 
 
The duvet covers and pillow covers are made in Jaipur to my specification of 100% crisp, pure white cotton percale with a block printed design and a "hotel" bottom closure (consisting of a flap inside the cover) and ties. The designs are derived from classical Indian motifs, feature spacing and simplicity that is suited to a European eye and consist of beautiful muted colours--as such they suit both modern and traditional decorative schemes.  
 
I have derived the Peony design from a traditional Indian motif that Indian textiles have featured for the past few centuries, in this case from a textile fragment from the 17th century that I saw in a museum. The principal colors in this pattern are darkish green and aqua.  Each motif is 28 cm high. I love the way the block print in these colors looks a bit like a watercolor—it is absolutely stunning. The pillow covers feature 3 prints of the Peony block.  
 
Please wash cold with non-bleach laundry detergent and either machine or line dry. The bedlinens look best when ironed.
