These waffle piqué towels measure a guest towel size of 35 x 50 (14 x 20 inches), an old fashioned personal towel size of 50 x 100 cm (20 x 39 inches) or a generous bath towel size of 110 x 150 cm (43 x 59 inches) and are made in an old-fashioned Austrian factory of 100% cotton piqué in white. We have machine embroidered them with a motif derived from an Indian wood block print, and the result is a chic fusion of European textiles and Indian design. As a weave, waffle piqué dates from medieval times and is sometimes called “honeycomb” weave. It is woven in a way that makes it extremely absorbent and quick to dry as it allows air to flow through the individual waffles, and the absorbency increases with each wash. Our towels are top quality—robust and thick. I have found that if one air dries the towels and then irons them, they look brand new each time. 

There are four embroidery colours--aqua, french blue, light green and medium green. We like to lay the towels at the foot of a guest bed with one of our duvet covers when friends come to stay. 

Washing Instructions: These towels can be washed up to 95 degrees, very hot, and will last for many years. If you want to ensure that the towels always look fresh and unused, just iron them with a hot iron.
